Job Description
We are looking for a Sit-Down Forklift Driver to join our team in St. Charles, IL. This role is essential in ensuring the efficient and safe movement of materials within our production facility. Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Move materials and products within the production floor.
- Load and unload materials from trailers using forklifts and other material handling equipment.
- Ensure the correct number and type of products are loaded and properly secured.
- Follow the production schedule to determine material needs and deliveries.
- Monitor and maintain accurate inventory records.
- Complete required documentation, including daily forklift operation checklists.
- Identify and report any issues with job-related equipment or vehicles.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment following OSHA regulations.
- Adhere to documented procedures, including food safety programs and required PPE usage.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Manager.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Experience in handling documents and inventory records.
- Steel-toe boots.
- Ability to follow precise instructions and accurately document information.
- Basic mechanical knowledge and math skills.
- 2-3 years of experience operating a forklift.
- Production floor environment.
- Long periods of sitting required.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Willingness to complete required training.
