Responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance with regulations and handle reporting
- Conduct employee orientation, development, and training
- Develop and document policies
- Manage employee relations and communication effectively
- Facilitate committees and present on employee safety, welfare, and wellness education
- Investigate and resolve employee complaints
- Manage staff orientation and update records
- Prepare HR communications for employees, including forms, slides, and team collaborations
- Administer appropriate disciplinary actions for rule or safety regulation violations
- Assist in performance management and staffing plans
- Support various HR activities and duties as required
Requirements:
- Bilingual in Spanish/English for verbal and written communications
- Strong multitasking and problem-solving abilities in a fast-paced environment
- Bachelor's degree in HR or a related field
- PHR certification (preferred but not required)
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as an HR generalist or associate in a manufacturing/retail setting
- Flexibility in work schedule
- Willingness to be cross-trained, coachable, and responsive in crisis situations within the HR function for potential career growth
- Adaptability to a fast-paced and changing environment
- Resourcefulness, business acumen, creative thinking skills, and decision-making capabilities
- Willingness to travel occasionally, approximately 8% of the total work year
Work Schedule:
- Five-day work week, Monday to Friday, 9:30 am – 6:30 pm
- Alternate Saturdays: 8 am – 2 pm (Sundays and additional weekday off when working on Saturdays)
