Job Description

Primary Staffing is hiring General Labor Production Associates for a manufacturing worksite in Matteson, IL. This position helps keep the production floor running by supporting assembly, material flow, quality inspection, and basic warehouse tasks. Candidates who are dependable, safety-minded, and comfortable with repetitive hands-on work can be a strong match for this opportunity.
What You Will Do
  1. Help build, assemble, or prepare battery and electronics-related components on the production line.
  2. Move materials to and from work areas so production teams have the supplies needed to meet daily goals.
  3. Operate simple tools, equipment, or workstations after receiving proper instructions.
  4. Check product condition, flag visible defects, and report quality concerns when something does not look right.
  5. Assist with basic inventory movement, warehouse support, and general production floor organization.
  6. Keep the assigned area clean, safe, and organized throughout the shift.
  7. Communicate with leads, supervisors, quality staff, and logistics teams to support efficient workflow.
What We Are Looking For
  1. Manufacturing, assembly, warehouse, general labor, or production experience is preferred but may not be required for every opening.
  2. Must be able to understand and follow workplace instructions, safety rules, and standard procedures.
  3. Must bring a reliable, team-oriented attitude and a willingness to learn production processes.
  4. Attention to detail is important because this role may involve inspection and defect identification.
  5. Basic familiarity with production tracking, scanners, or computer-based systems is a plus.
  6. English/Spanish or Korean/English bilingual ability is helpful for team communication, but not required.
Work Environment and Physical Requirements
  1. Work takes place on a manufacturing/production floor with repetitive assignments and fast-paced expectations.
  2. The site may include electronic parts, battery components, materials, and industrial equipment.
  3. Standing for long periods is required, and shifts may range from 8 to 12 hours depending on schedule.
  4. The position may involve lifting up to approximately 50 lbs, plus reaching, bending, and stooping.
  5. Frequent hand and arm movement may be required during assembly, inspection, or material handling.
Schedule and Safety
  1. Full-time work with possible overtime depending on production volume.
  2. Shift options may include 1st, 2nd, or rotating schedules based on business needs.
  3. Steel-toe footwear is required before reporting to the jobsite.
  4. Additional PPE such as gloves, safety glasses, or task-specific equipment may be required.
  5. Employees must comply with OSHA guidance and all worksite-specific safety practices.
