Job Description
To provide safe, reliable, and cost-efficient vehicles by performing quality preventative maintenance, inspections, repairs, and expert diagnostics. This role helps prevent breakdowns, reduce downtime, and ensure fleet reliability.

- Perform preventative maintenance, repairs, and vehicle/equipment testing.
- Plan, schedule, and review in-house and outsourced fleet work orders.
- Communicate with drivers and route schedulers.
- Manage ordering, purchasing, stocking, and inventory of vehicle parts.
- Perform complex technical repairs.
- Monitor and manage assigned budget efficiently.
- Keep complete records of repairs, maintenance, and expenses.
- Stay updated with regulatory requirements for fleet operations.
- Maintain a safe working environment.
- Other tasks as assigned.
Requirements
- CDL required.
- ASE Certification in diesel mechanics or trade/technical school certification.
- Minimum 2 years in diesel and heavy equipment repair.
- Knowledge of fleet maintenance principles and practices.
- Experience with refrigeration units, evacuation, and recharge.
- Ability to analyze repairs and recommend cost-effective solutions.
- Up-to-date with trends and innovations in fleet repair.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Clean driving record.
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs.
- Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, crouch, kneel, and climb.
- Work in extreme temperatures.
- Available for on-call and after-hours work.
