Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Machine Operator to join our production team. This role is responsible for converting, labeling, and packaging various materials, including pressure-sensitive films, linerboard, wipers, and sundries, in an effective and high-quality manner. Responsibilities:
- Operate converting machinery efficiently and safely.
- Perform machine setups to start production cycles and ensure proper operation.
- Compile and load raw materials into the machine, ensuring correct measurements and portions.
- Monitor machine operation and conduct routine inspections to ensure product quality.
- Box, bag, sleeve, and palletize finished products.
- Conduct minor maintenance and document preventative maintenance activities.
- At least 1 year of experience operating converting machinery in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to train on different machines, including rewinders, slitters, sealers, baggers, and pallet jacks.
- Basic math skills, including the ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure.
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to sit or stand for extended periods.
- Ability to lift and move objects up to 65 lbs.
