Join a leading company in the food industry located in the Far East Side near Northeastwood, Indiana. As a Maintenance Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring that the plant operates efficiently by handling the installation, preventive maintenance, and repair of mechanical equipment.
Responsibilities
- Conduct preventive maintenance on machinery according to established schedules.- Troubleshoot, adjust, and repair equipment to prevent downtime.- Quickly respond to and resolve equipment breakdowns.- Educate production staff on basic preventive maintenance to reduce downtime.- Ensure all machinery and equipment function properly and adhere to safety standards.- Document maintenance procedures and adhere to safety, GMPs, food safety, and quality protocols.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of experience in industrial maintenance preferred.- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physically demanding tasks.- Willingness to work in various environmental conditions.- Must have own transportation.- Knowledge of safety procedures, including lock-out/tag-out.- These positions might require candidates to complete tests in electricity, mechanics, and hierology.
