Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Material Handler to join our team. The Material Handler plays a crucial role in plant and production support by performing a variety of general labor tasks related to the picking, prepping, packaging, stocking of raw materials, and shipping of finished goods. Responsibilities:
- Ensure the safe handling and movement of materials within the warehouse.
- Contribute to a safe and clean work environment by following established safety protocols.
- Operate various equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and stretch-wrap machines safely and efficiently.
- Perform general labor tasks, including unloading containers and vehicles, and maintaining a clean and organized work area.
- Accurately pick and stack customer orders, affix product and shipping labels, and verify the accuracy of shipments.
- Coordinate shipping and receiving tasks, including identifying and recording shortages and damaged items.
- Assist with inventory management, including cycle counts and annual inventory counts.
- Proven experience as a warehouse associate or general laborer is preferred.
- Ability to operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment.
- Ability to read and follow instructions in english
- Basic math skills for measurements and inventory tracking.
- Ability to work in a team environment and follow safety protocols.
- Physical ability to lift and move objects up to 65 lbs and work in varying weather conditions.
