Are you a hands-on mechanic looking to build your career in the food production industry? We’ re seeking a Mechanic with basic trailer maintenance expertise to keep our fleet in top condition. From brakes and air hoses to roll-up doors, you’ ll be responsible for safe and efficient operations and repairs.
Responsibilities
- Conduct routine inspections and scheduled preventive maintenance on trailers
- Repair or replace brakes, air hoses, seals, roll-up doors, airbags, and brake chambers
- Perform basic diagnostics to identify mechanical problems and recommend solutions
- Maintain accurate records of all inspections, services, and repairs performed
- Follow food industry safety standards (including proper sanitation of equipment as needed)
- Collaborate with the fleet manager to schedule repairs and ensure timely completion of tasks
- Keep a well-organized inventory of spare parts, tools, and supplies
Additional Info
- Basic knowledge of trailer maintenance, including brakes, air hoses, seals, roll-up doors, airbags, and brake chambers
- Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot common mechanical issues
- Experience using mechanical tools and equipment safely and effectively
- Reliability and punctuality to meet operational needs
- Previous experience in a food production or logistics environment is a plus
- 4 days per week, plus every other Saturday. Morning shift. Starting

¿ Eres un mecá nico con experiencia que quiere crecer en la industria de producció n de alimentos? Estamos buscando un Mecá nico con conocimientos bá sicos en mantenimiento de vehí culos para garantizar que nuestra flota esté siempre en ó ptimas condiciones. Desde frenos y mangueras de aire, será s responsable de realizar reparaciones y mantenimiento de manera segura y eficiente.
Responsabilidades
- Realizar inspecciones de rutina y mantenimiento preventivo en los remolques.
- Reparar o reemplazar frenos, mangueras de aire, sellos, puertas enrollables, bolsas de aire y cá maras de freno.
- Diagnosticar problemas mecá nicos bá sicos y proponer soluciones efectivas.
- Llevar un registro preciso de todas las inspecciones, servicios y reparaciones realizadas.
- Cumplir con las normas de seguridad de la industria alimentaria, incluyendo la limpieza adecuada del equipo cuando sea necesario.
- Coordinar con el gerente de flota para programar reparaciones y garantizar que se realicen a tiempo.
- Mantener el inventario organizado de refacciones, herramientas y suministros.
Requisitos
- Conocimientos bá sicos en mantenimiento de vehí culos, como frenos, mangueras de aire, sellos, puertas enrollables, bolsas de aire y cá maras de freno.
- Capacidad para diagnosticar y resolver problemas mecá nicos comunes.
- Experiencia en el uso seguro y adecuado de herramientas y equipos mecá nicos.
- Puntualidad y compromiso para cumplir con los requerimientos operativos.
- Experiencia previa en un entorno de producció n de alimentos o logí stica (deseable).
- Horario: 4 dí as a la semana y sá bados alternados, turno matutino.
