About the Role:

Join a premier company in the food industry as a Maintenance Mechanic based in St. Charles, IL. You'll take on ensuring the plant operates at peak efficiency. You'll be hands-on with the installation and preventative maintenance of mechanical equipment, diagnosing and fixing breakdowns, and keeping the maintenance shop in top shape.

Your Responsibilities:
- Oversee preventative maintenance for motors and mechanical equipment
- Quickly diagnose and repair equipment when breakdowns occur- Assist with the installation and modification of equipment- Use a range of hand and power tools, including specialized tools- Prioritize safety for yourself and team members- Use problem-solving skills to efficiently complete complex maintenance tasks- Help develop robust systems/processes and suggest proactive solutions

Qualifications:

- 2+ years of experience in maintenance in an industrial setting is preferred, or a recent graduate with a mechanical degree from a high school/trade school

- Proficient in maintaining industrial equipment

- Able to lift up to 50 lbs and frequently ascend/descend stairs
