Job Description
Join our team as a Customer Field Service Technician, where you will play a critical role in maintaining and servicing advanced pharmacy automation systems. This position is ideal for individuals passionate about technology, engineering, and customer service, offering a unique opportunity to contribute to the healthcare sector.
Activities:
- Perform routine preventive maintenance and on-call services for customers in assigned areas.
- Provide services to machines as assigned and assist with new product installations.
- Coordinate with movers, electricians, and low voltage technicians during installation to ensure optimal customer experience.
- Train customers on system operations and basic maintenance.
- Conduct regular performance checks and quality control on products.
- Handle minor repairs, part replacements, and ship parts to customers.
- Maintain inventory and accountability for crash kits.
- Report any issues or opportunities within your area of responsibility to your direct manager.
- Process service work orders and expense reports on time.
- Communicate effectively with all relevant parties.
Requirements:
- A Bachelor’s in Engineering, Electrical, or Electronics is preferred but not required.
- Experience in a dynamic, on-call environment is desirable.
- Technical or Mechanical Engineering background (e.g., Automotive, HVAC, Electrical, Machining & Manufacturing) or related military experience is preferred.
- 1-3 years of field service experience with electro-mechanical products.
- Effective communication skills that build customer trust and satisfaction.
- Ability to read and interpret technical information, blueprints, and diagrams.
- Proficiency in PC software and hardware.
- Independent, well-organized self-starter who can work well in a team.
- Willingness to travel up to 30-70% of the time for technical and training purposes.
- Availability for on-call hours, including weekends, overtime, overnight travel, and holiday work.
- Ability to lift, lower, and carry objects up to 50 lbs, with fine manipulation skills.
- Valid driver’s license and excellent driving record.
