Job Description

We are actively seeking a highly experienced Plant Manager to oversee our food manufacturing operations. This strategic leadership position is responsible for driving operational excellence, ensuring product quality, and upholding safety standards within our production facility.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop comprehensive plans to achieve departmental goals, focusing on productivity enhancement and efficiency improvements.
  • Procure and manage the necessary resources, including manpower, materials, and equipment, to ensure uninterrupted production operations. Optimize resource allocation to balance cost-efficiency with high-quality output.
  • Directly oversee the activities of Production Supervisors, ensuring they are effectively managing their teams.
  • Participate in safety, quality, and food safety committees. Lead efforts to strengthen these areas through proactive engagement and by setting exemplary standards in all practices.
  • Develop and implement safety protocols that comply with industry regulations and company policies. Ensure a safe working environment for all employees by promoting a culture of safety and compliance.
  • Inform and engage employees about work assignments, progress, and opportunities for professional growth. Address and resolve employee relations issues with empathy and effectiveness.
  • Continuously assess and improve work instructions, job descriptions, and training programs. Ensure all procedures align with the latest industry standards and best practices.
  • Oversee the implementation of rigorous quality control measures. Ensure that all products meet or exceed customer expectations and regulatory requirements.


Requirements:
  • Minimum of 5 years of production experience in a manufacturing setting, preferably in the food industry, with at least 3 years in a managerial capacity.
  • A bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Industrial Management, or a related field, an advanced degree or professional certifications related to manufacturing management or food safety is a plus
  • Experience with inspections and compliance with standards set by AIB, OSHA, ASI, Health Department, EPA, and local regulatory bodies.
  • Proven track record of leading, mentoring, and developing high-performing teams. Strong interpersonal and leadership skills to manage and motivate employees.
  • Ability to analyze complex production data, identify trends, and implement solutions to optimize manufacturing processes.
  • Must be capable of standing for prolonged periods and walking long distances within the plant. The role requires the flexibility to work different shifts and extended hours, including weekends when necessary.
