Job Description
We are currently hiring a Purchasing Associate for an on-site position in DeKalb, Illinois. This role is responsible for managing purchase orders, coordinating with suppliers, and supporting daily purchasing operations to ensure timely deliveries and accurate inventory control. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable working in a fast-paced office environment.

Responsibilities
- Manage purchase orders and maintain accurate entries in the ERP system
- Maintain shipping calendar and track order dates and pricing
- Review open orders daily and update delivery times (ETAs)
- Track inbound and outbound shipments to avoid delays
- Communicate with suppliers and internal teams to resolve issues
- Assist with invoice discrepancies and order updates
- Create production orders and manage material transfers
- Maintain inventory records and prepare lots for invoicing
- Participate in team meetings and support purchasing operations
- Provide backup support to the purchasing team when needed
Requirements
- Experience in purchasing, supply chain, or similar role
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Good communication and ability to manage multiple tasks
- Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word) and basic computer systems
- Experience with ERP systems preferred
- Experience working with ISO certification is a plus
- Bachelor’s degree in Business / Supply Chain preferred (or equivalent experience)
- Valid driver’s license required
- Ability to work on-site Monday–Friday, 8 AM – 4 PM
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs occasionally
- Comfortable working in a shared office environment
- Bilingual Spanish is a plus
