Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Quality Engineer to support and enhance quality assurance efforts in a precision manufacturing environment. This role requires a strong commitment to continuous improvement, collaboration with cross-functional teams, and the ability to ensure compliance with ISO 9001:2015 standards. Key Responsibilities:• Prepare and oversee First Article and PPAP submission packages for customer review and approval.
• Conduct Measurement System Analysis (MSA), Gage R&R, and process capability studies.
• Perform first piece inspections and gage setups as needed for production.
• Manage the gage calibration program using GageTrac and coordinate external calibration services.
• Lead internal audit processes and ensure compliance with ISO 9001:2015 standards.
• Implement and support preventive quality methods including FMEAs, Control Plans, NCRs, and CARs.
• Actively participate in New Part Introduction (NPI), Engineering Change Notices (ECN), and Internal Process Changes (IPC).
Requirements:• Bachelor’s degree in Quality Engineering or a related technical field (preferred).
• Minimum 5 years of experience in quality engineering within a metals manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of CNC machining processes, including lathes and mills.
• Comfortable working in low-volume, high-mix production environments.
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement tools.
• Strong understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing).
• Experience with Hexagon CMM and PC-DMIS programming (preferred).
• Ability to work independently, adapt to shifting priorities, and manage multiple quality initiatives.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
