Shipping & Receiving Supervisor
Job Description
The Shipping & Receiving Supervisor oversees and coordinates logistics activities between the Distribution Center and Manufacturing facility. This role involves scheduling dock appointments, arranging pickups, and managing daily shuttles, ensuring smooth operations and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee transportation operations, including scheduling and documentation.
- Manage inbound and outbound dock appointments.
- Handle shipping documents and labels.
- Audit transportation fees and invoices.
- Supervises efficient transportation management.
- Provide customer service to vendors and customers.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in warehouse and logistics preferred.
- Knowledge in Supply Chain management.
- Proficient in supervising and training staff.
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Bilingual abilities are a plus.
- Proficiency in Transportation Management System (TMS) and Microsoft Office.
- Skills in data analysis, project management, and reporting.
This role is ideal for someone with a solid background in logistics and supply chain management, looking to contribute to the efficient operation of transportation and distribution processes.
