Job Summary
The Warehouse Forklift Operator will be responsible for operating both a reach truck and a sit-down forklift to support daily warehouse operations. Candidates must be forklift certified and will be required to participate in an interview. This role ensures accurate inventory management, efficient order fulfillment, and a safe, clean, and organized warehouse environment.
Key Responsibilities
The Warehouse Forklift Operator will be responsible for operating both a reach truck and a sit-down forklift to support daily warehouse operations. Candidates must be forklift certified and will be required to participate in an interview. This role ensures accurate inventory management, efficient order fulfillment, and a safe, clean, and organized warehouse environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate reach truck and sit-down forklift safely and efficiently.
- Label and relabel materials and products as needed.
- Pick and prepare orders for shipment.
- Unload containers and build pallets.
- Count and verify inventory against paperwork.
- Organize and shift inventory to make space for incoming shipments.
- Perform weekly manual inventory counts.
- Ship containers to customers.
- Maintain warehouse cleanliness by sweeping, mopping, and removing garbage.
- Ensure all warehouse doors are locked and the surrounding areas are secured.
- Keep warehouse layout neat and organized (sorting and making space).
- Perform other duties as assigned to support operations.
- Certification: Must be forklift certified (Reach Truck & Sit-Down Forklift).
- Experience: Previous experience in warehouse operations is preferred.
- Skills: Strong attention to detail, safety awareness, ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and organizational skills.
- Other: Ability to work independently and follow instructions.
- Previous experience in logistics or distribution centers.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
- Monday – Friday schedule.
